Décolletage Treatments

Patients often overlook areas such as the low neckline and chest when enhancing their natural beauty. We can help improve the appearance of your skin in this area.

What is Décolletage?

Décolletage is the area south of your chin – the lower neck and chest, including cleavage. The name comes from the French word décolleter when translated, means “to expose the neck” by removing the collar. It is the exposed skin area when wearing a low or plunging neckline.

Skin Damage to the Décolletage

Many patients focus their skin care efforts on their face, neglecting other areas prone to sun spots, wrinkling, and other ageing skin issues. Often, the décolletage is exposed to ultraviolet (UV) rays and sun damage, which promotes collagen breakdown, crepey skin, visible blood vessels and more.

Sun damage isn’t the only risk factor for skin damage on the chest and neck. Genetics, the natural ageing process and exposure to pollutants like tobacco smoke can all impact the skin, causing it to look older.

Addressing Subtle Areas with Proper Skin Care

Taking care of the skin on your décolletage can help improve the appearance of this area. At SKIN2, we advise patients to avoid too much sun exposure and apply sunscreen liberally and often. Using a high-SPF sunscreen daily can help protect against UV radiation. The décolletage has thin, delicate skin that requires gentle cleansing instead of scrubbing.
We can recommend cleansing agents, topical products and skin treatments that contribute to skin health and collagen production. Our practitioners will examine your skin during a consultation and recommend products and treatments to enhance the appearance of your décolletage.

Décolletage Treatments at SKIN2

Several of our facial aesthetics treatments are also safe and effective for treating other areas, such as the décolletage.

Sunekos

Sunekos is one of the skin booster treatments available at SKIN2. This injectable treatment uses a unique formulation of amino acids and hyaluronic acid, and it is designed to stimulate activity in the skin's fibroblasts.

Fibroblast activation prompts the production of collagen and elastin proteins. These structural proteins help restore biological functions to the skin, help minimise the appearance of wrinkles, add hydration and promote an improved skin texture and tone.

BioRePeel

BioRePeel is a two-phase treatment; it is a chemical peel used exclusively in medical settings, such as the SKIN2 practice. The chemical peel uses a sophisticated formulation of amino acids, vitamins and other key ingredients which stimulate superficial and deep tissue rejuvenation.

This treatment stimulates the dermis, helping regulate hyperpigmentation, correcting imperfections, controlling sebum production, reducing dilated pores and accelerating cell turnover. This stimulation of the inner layer of the skin encourages fibroblast cells to produce more collagen and elastin.

SkinPen®

SkinPen microneedling is a minimally-invasive cosmetic procedure. The SkinPen uses thin needles to make micro holes in your epidermis, causing the skin to activate its natural healing response to injury.

As a result, the body naturally produces fresh collagen and elastin proteins. These proteins contribute to skin firmness and smoothness and form new cells that support the skin's underlying tissue.

You May Benefit from a Combination of Décolletage Treatments

The décolletage treatments available at SKIN2 can be done independently or in conjunction. We will only recommend multiple types of treatment for suitable patients to help them achieve healthier-looking skin on their lower neck and chest.
